Thoughts on Ayyam-i-Ha from Peter Gardner
Thinking of the meaning of Ayyam-i-Ha. Kurt Hein, one of my facebook friends, called it the days of the Essence of God. This piqued my interest, so I went to Baha'i Library site to see if he wrote anything about it. Finally, I discovered that my favorite writing about the calendar and Ayyam-i-Ha is written by you.(see http://bahai-library.com/?file=taylor_novelty_badi_calendar http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayyám-i-Há)
I saw the connections you drew with the various dispensations from God in the past. Today, while saying the Ayyam-i-Ha prayer, I noticed the phrase, "My God, my Fire and my Light!". That looks like a bow to the Zoroastrian Faith, to me.
How delightful.
I bet Baha'u'llah used those words on purpose to honour His great spiritual ancestor.
