Our community is fortunate to have Betty Frost, who submits reports of our meetings to the local paper. Just by establishing good relations with each successive editor she writes a column on each talk and gets for us probably the best publicity of any community in the country. Everybody in town knows what we are doing. I cannot understand why other communities, many of them much larger than us, do not do the same thing. A huge return for just a little well placed effort.
Letter to the Editor
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the speaker for our last meeting, Terry Spratt, was unable to present his thoughts about understanding the world around us. We are happy to report that he will now be able to come to the Garfield Disher Room in the Library on Tuesday, April 14th at 8:00 p.m. We know this will be an interesting and challenging talk.
There will be an opportunity for questions and discussion during the evening and, of course, a social hour with coffee/tea and something of a delicious nature!
